Decor
Choosing the right decor means knowing your space.
First things first, evaluate your bathroom's space. What does it feel like? Is it modern or rustic? Or maybe both? Vibrant or mellow? These are all questions you should determine the answer to before buying decor. Pairing decor to the atmosphere of the bathroom that you want is important. If you've spent a lot of time making your restaurant look beautiful, the bathroom should also be a space that people can appreciate.
If you're decorating for a restaurant, then you want the bathroom to match the feel and unique characteristics that make your establishment special. For example, if your restaurant has a nice rustic feel with wooden highlights and rustic furniture, then the bathroom should also feel rustic. Try making the sink countertop a rustic wood like this.
If your restaurant is more modern and elegant, then you probably don't want to make your bathroom rustic. Try something more like this.
Now that you've established the feel of your bathroom space, it's time to choose decor.
It's all about utilizing the space. If your bathroom is large, don't leave it completely blank. Get some art on the walls or any cool decorations. Adding decor is so important. Without anything on the walls, the bathroom won't feel nice. Add paintings, or photos, or anything else you can think of. Try not to make the walls overly cluttered though - some negative space is good.
The point is: decor is essential!
Art
Throw some art on the walls - paintings, images. You could even paint parts of the wall directly. Try something abstract or a design fitting to your restaurant.
Personal decorations
Put anything in the bathroom that has significance to the place! If your restaurant specializes in seafood, put some nice shells on surfaces for decoration.

The best materials for a bathroom
Use nice looking materials. A bathroom will immediately feel unappealing if the materials used don't look nice. Like we talked about above in Decor, the material choice will depend on the space.
Modern/elegant
Freshly painted solid colour walls can be a great place to start for an elegant bathroom. It is a simple and easy way to make your bathroom a good template for decor. Tiling could be a good option for the floor of your bathroom, though if you're designing for a restaurant, maybe try not to use white tile due to cleaning issues.
If you want to do something other than just painted walls, you could try spicing it up by making something different with one (or all) sides of the wall. Try adding a funky wallpaper like this one.
A nice finished wood could also add a needed flair for your bathroom interior.
Rustic
Old brick walls coupled with rustic wood is an amazing way to create a beautiful rustic bathroom. One wall could be brick, with another painted dry wall or wood. You could wash the wood with a coloured paint. There are many possibilities. Check out this beautiful rustic bathroom.
Sink
Whether your bathroom is modern or rustic, there are many sink material options. You could go with a beautiful wooden sink, marble, or porcelain. Porcelain may be the easiest and quite nice to clean as well. Marble is certainly nice for specific types of bathrooms. Wood sinks can offer an interesting touch to any bathroom. A waterfall style sink is a fun way to spruce up a bathroom as well.
When choosing materials, make sure you have a plan to properly clean them. You may find a material you love but then find out (the hard way) that it is difficult to wash frequently. Cast iron sinks with a coating are nice and easy to clean. Porcelain is fairly easy to clean as well. For a restaurant, choose something easy to clean. For a home, easy cleaning is a nice bonus but not as necessary as a high traffic establishment like a restaurant.

Make your bathroom stand out
Having certain amenities in your bathroom is a great way to boost the bathroom goers experience and create a space that truly is a great place.
Depending on how much time and resources you can put into the bathroom, listed below are a few things you can add to spice up your bathroom. You could choose some or all of these.
Diffuser
To keep your bathroom smelling nice, and actually making it seem cleaner as well, use diffuser sticks. Choose the scent based on the atmosphere of the bathroom. If your bathroom is rustic then choose a woody scent. If it is more modern and elegant, you can choose a lavender or eucalyptus scent. That being said, you could swap those or use any scent you think would be nice!
Hand moisturizer
After washing hands, it is always nice to moisturize. Providing complimentary moisturizer is a great way to spruce up the bathroom experience and leave guests feeling very happy with the added bonus.
Fresh towels
A slightly more lavish amenity: instead of paper towels, offer hand towels, freshly washed and folded for guests. Make sure to have a place for people to put dirty towels. Also wash frequently and have a solid supply. This amenity may work better for smaller restaurants with less constant traffic.
Mouth care
Gum, toothpicks.

Keep your bathroom clean
We recommend cleaning the bathroom at the end of each day, leaving it spotless for the next day. As well as daily cleans, it is important to have a set time (possibly at a less busy hour) to check on the bathroom to see if there is any obvious dirtiness that needs to be attended to before the end of the day. At this daily check, you can take a look at the bathrooms stock as well. If there's a low amount of toilet paper or soap, re-stock it. Have the extra stock at a handy and readily available place. It helps if the costumer can find the extra toilet paper themselves.
Add a sign telling guests that they should let staff know if the bathroom is dirty or low on stock. That way, if anything got missed on the daily check, staff will still know about the issue.
Use cleaning products that do not have an overpowering smell. A surface cleaner with a nice subtle smell is a great way to keep your bathroom smelling fresh without overwhelming costumers with strong scents.
Other Tips
Hand dryer
If you're using a hand dryer, make sure it is up to date and works well. Don't use those old blow dryers that push extremely light air on your hands and somehow take longer than just waiting for your hands to dry.
Other Tips
Soap Dispenser
Having a nice soap bottle instead of store bought plastic soap containers is a good way to make your bathroom feel a little nicer. Get a reusable soap dispenser bottle and then add soap to that container.
